My name is Nathaniel G. Recently Team Virginia afforded my mother, Temple J., the opportunity to visit my family and me after I returned from deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. This is my second deployment to Iraq in the last three years. With the constant preparation and unit training for the deployments, it has been difficult to find the time to visit with my family in Virginia. I owe Team Virginia a debt of gratitude for assisting my mother in visiting us. On behalf of my family and all others you may have assisted, I thank you. Sincerely,  Nathaniel G

I just wanted to thank you guys for the gifts for my son.  They were really appreciated. Thank you.  C.S.

Mr. Carter: My name is SSG. Irving [deleted] and I am currently deployed in Iraq. My wife Diana informed me of all the help and support she has received from you and the organization you work for. I can't thank you all enough for helping me and my family during this very difficult deployment with some much needed home improvements. May God continue to bless you and the great deeds you perform in helping others. I hope to be able to thank you in person after this mission is complete. Thanks again and God Bless.    SSG. Mr. Carter, My name is Shane.  Taci has told me how wonderful the family support center has been to us.  I want to thank you and your crew for taking care of the fix it's and other problems my family has had in my absence.  I'm sure you know how hard it is to be away from home and knowing that everything in the house breaks once you leave.  It's pretty discouraging to know that I can't be there to fix it or find someone to fix it for me.  Without the Center I'm sure that Taci would have lost her mind by now.  Thank you so much for supporting us and our families.    [deleted], Iraq

Thank you so much for all of your help! I was surprised by all the feedback I got. This is the way the FRG should be run. Thank you again so very much for your help and concern. God Bless You. Sincerely, JM

Thank you for helping us fix stuff. And doing neat stuff with us. And thank you for the movie tickets. And thank you for being there for us.  JH (6 year old)

Thank you for helping us improve our kitchen. We enjoyed going to the movies when you brought the movie passes over. Thanks for helping us put in the windows. Thank you for all your help you've done for us this year.  SH (10 year old)

Thank you Mr. Carter for helping us fix up our kitchen. I really appreciate the things you've done like putting on the [shoe molding] to the walls. I also wanted to thank you for bringing us the movie passes. I had a great time. Thanks again for everything you've done this entire year.  FH (13 year old)

I also would like to thank you so much for everything you have done for my family.  Without you and the Center, I would not have survived. And thank you for touching all of our lives. You just don't know what you all have done for us. Thank you all so much. And all the volunteers - thank you and God Bless you all. DH

I went and got some diapers and food today.  Just wanted to say thanks so much!  It saves so much money to be able to pick up what we need.  Thanks again!”   H.C.

I just wanted to thank you and all the volunteers at the Center for the lovely day you hosted for us military wives.   My husband has been active duty Army for twenty-three years, and I think that was the nicest event I’ve ever attended for military spouses.

I appreciate all you do for military families.  We are “old hats” and used to moving and family separations, so not so much in need of your services.  But it is so nice to know you are there f or anyone who needs you and to support the Reserve and National Guard families who are not so used to their dads being gone.

Thank you also for all that you’ve done for my daughter, Lisa, while her husband is deployed.  As you know, enlisted soldiers don’t get paid much, so all the diapers and other goods have really helped them out.

I can’t express my gratitude enough.  It was nice to be around some other military folks for a day, and all the goodies are wonderful!
Sincerely,   C.B.

I wanted to say thank you for all that you did for us today and continue to do for us.  Thank you so much for setting aside all those diapers, wipes, clothes, etc. for me and my little guy.  I really appreciate it.  I wish I could have stayed for the whole day [Mothers Time Away and Kids Time to Play], but I coach a softball team and had to get to a game.  I know it was a huge success.  Thanks a hundred times over…See you soon!”   H.C.

Our family would like to thank your organization for the gift cards for our children.  Your act of kindness to our family is very much appreciated.  May you all have a very wonderful "2006."  Thank you. R.H.

Thank you for all the support.  Your words of encouragement have helped when I feel like things are going wrong.  God Bless A.M.

We want to thank y'all for the wonderful presents that were sent to our son.  He has really enjoyed them.  We also really had a good time at the Christmas Party.  It make him feel so special to be recognized as the son of a military Dad.  Again, thank you very much," M., L., & P. B

Thank You, Thank You for the gift cards for my two grandsons. L.F

Thank you so much for taking the time to help me find a home for my [old] washer. It sounds as if it’s going to the best possible place. L.C.

Thank you so much for all you have helped us with.  It is comforting to know that there is a support system that really does care about us spouses.  Shane has been more relieved and less stressed knowing that I have someone to call.  Thank you. [deleted]

Nowhere else that I can think of, would the Executive Director of an organization drop what he is doing and run over to a total stranger's house to help fix a broken dryer! Yet that's exactly what Gene did when I left a message at the center requesting names of appliance repair people who might give a military discount!  Outstanding!  May I add, very much appreciated.  :-) lc

Thank you Gene for all that you do for the families and the valley. T.L.

I want to thank you again for all the help to get the cement out of there--Gary and Andy finished digging the trench last night--and now we are in the process of burying the line. Your help was a Godsend--we spoke with Ryan last evening and told him how much you had accomplished--he would have helped us with it had he been home--he's missed dearly here--he is now training to be in the lead truck in the convoys--he has been working out and has bulked up as well as lost approx. 15 lbs. He said he is in great shape and will be very able to accomplish his duties there--He is happy to know help is only a phone call away for us until he gets home. Thanks again for all you do. With Sincere thanks, S.C.

My dear friend, you will never know how very much I appreciate all that you are doing for our families.  M.A.
